Cyclone Ita

Well after being category five. It was downgraded to category four. Three then one. Cape flattery and cooktown was hard hit but thankfully they held up quite well. No catastrophic damage. As it slowly cruised along the coast it reached between cairns and mareeba on Saturday afternoon/evening as category one. Only thing i was worried was flood and didn't want my car got drowned. Friday night cairns was like ghost town. Saturday morning I was bored shitless and decided to drive to town and walked to esplanade and witnessed the spectacle. Pretty much its what it was and weakened shortly after. Perotta coffee shop and IGA was about the only places open that time around 1500ish. I'm glad I did that.

Sorry the language...SHIT COURIER

Thought I would receive my newly shopped tablet by now, well I was wrong. After browsing the product review online , I found out that Toll Priority is just on par with other shit couriers: Australia Air Express and Fastway. The last two - based on my experience - did not even bother delivering your parcel, instead they pull up outside your building and casually walk to slip the attempted delivery notice into your mailbox. googled them or had a look at other customers reviews on them. phoarrr. Australian Air Express was not too bad in a way of location, It is just next to my office so it is no drama but still annoying. Last time my workmate picked up her parcel, she witnessed the poor girl behind the counter at reception desk blasted by angry customer regarding - surprise - attempted delivery haha. with Fastway, I waited all day only to see the lady driver pulled up and slipped the notice in the mailbox. Make the matter worst was, the notice did not say who the receiver. Is it me? or is it my flatmate. I drove all the way to their depot next day and voila its not for me!
With Toll Priority - well - I don't know why they call themselves PRIORITY....I always use Australia POST any day! They are way better.
But as a receiver end, I have no choice I suppose. but the point is, online shopping is so you do not have to go to the shop and get your purchase delivered to your door. But this thing, speechless....

Food Adventure

Not familiar with vietnamese food. Until saw someone's posting on facebook.
Was a good hot day. Finished early and then planned to buy brolly and other stuffs with mister good looking T in mind. Had my homemade wontons straight after work. And you could imagine. Felt sleepy after that. Beep beep at 1238 mister good looking was thinking of afternoon delight while I woke up and didnt feel like it all. Ugh damn....I want to make him happy but I wasn't in the mood. Shifted it for next day hope he's in the mood as I may be tomorrow. Anyway C ended up walking with me to cbd at around 1530ish...as we're both hungry. First destination viet pho at orchid plaza but since C whinged there's no spring rolls there we moved to another viet pho. That's after I bought bubble tea. Yummo. At abbott street's viet pho thats when I ordered Com Ga ... a vietnamese version of hainan chicken. The enthusiastic guy behind the counter has sealed the score that this gonna be a good food. With price tag at $11.90. Good portion and very tasty food. This is definitely the winner for the day.
***the day concluded with trip to movenpick for pistachio ice cream n also rum and raisins ice cream while looking at guys pumping irons at the esplanade. Bliss...
